Lixel L2 Pro
The Lixel L2 Pro is a professional handheld SLAM LiDAR scanner from XGRIDS for large sites that need long range and dense, accurate point clouds. It combines a rotating LiDAR, dual 48 MP cameras and a high-precision 6DOF IMU with AI-assisted SLAM, so the real-time point cloud approaches the quality of post-processed data and can be reviewed in colour while you scan. It is offered in 16-channel and 32-channel versions, and the 32-channel version is available with either a 120 m or a 300 m range, which makes the L2 Pro the long-range option in the XGRIDS line-up.
Key specifications
- LiDAR: Class 1, 905 nm, field of view 360° x 270°; scan range 0.5 to 120 m, or 0.5 to 300 m (dual return) on the 32-channel 300 m version
- Point rate: 320,000 points/s (16-channel) or 640,000 points/s (32-channel)
- Post-processed relative accuracy: 1 cm; absolute accuracy: 3 cm (RMSE, horizontal and vertical); repeatability: 2 cm
- Real-time accuracy: 2 cm relative and 3 cm absolute
- Post-processed point-cloud thickness: 5 mm
- Levelness: 0.015° with RTK fusion, 0.03° without RTK fusion
- Cameras: 2 x 48 MP, 1/2-inch sensor, 4000 x 3000 images; forward depth camera with a 190° x 119° field of view
- Positioning: used with an external survey-grade RTK module (GPS, GLONASS, BDS and Galileo), plus vision-aided positioning
- Control: companion app on a connected phone (no built-in screen)
- Storage: 1 TB SSD
- Weight: 1.7 kg without battery; approximately 3 kg in the full handheld set-up including battery, RTK module and phone
- Dimensions: 180 x 130 x 400 mm; operating time: 90 minutes; IP54; operating temperature -20°C to 50°C
Range and point density
Choose between 120 m and 300 m scan ranges depending on how large and open your sites are. The 300 m version is built for tall structures, open industrial sites, quarries and other large environments where a standard range would force extra set-ups, and it can also be mounted on a drone for aerial capture. With up to 640,000 points per second and a point-cloud thickness of 5 mm, the L2 Pro records fine detail while you move at walking pace.
Real-time colour and positioning
Multi-SLAM joint optimisation, a high-precision IMU and visual positioning keep the trajectory stable, and real-time RTK fusion, using the external RTK module, supports absolute-coordinate deliverables. The exclusive LixelUpSample algorithm produces denser, sharper real-time colour point clouds without an external camera. The companion app shows camera images, elevation information and the true-colour point cloud live, together with battery, network, memory and range status, so missed areas can be spotted before you leave the site. RTK settings and breakpoint rescan are also available from the app.
Outputs and software
- True-colour point cloud (standard .las export), textured mesh and 3D Gaussian Splatting scene
- Post-processing in LixelStudio; 3DGS reconstruction in Lixel CyberColor Studio
- Suitable for Scan-to-BIM, CAD drafting, topographic and as-built documentation, and digital twin projects
Typical applications
Large industrial and infrastructure sites, construction progress and as-built capture, mining and quarries, forestry, urban streets and facades, tunnels, and drone-mounted aerial scanning on the long-range version.
